Why we’ve set up the CC.

The Covid pandemic has come at a moment when the arts have already suffered a long-term decline in support: from government, broadcasters and the press. There’s noticeably less culture on the TV, radio and in the newspapers these days, and arts subjects are rapidly dropping off the map in schools and universities. Yet there is greater audience demand than ever for high-quality arts content and learning – people all around the globe who want to connect with great art and ideas, and be inspired by the brilliance of human creativity.

We believe that culture is the essential dimension that gives our lives meaning, purpose and beauty. It helps us understand and navigate the world, and imagine life from different perspectives. Whether it’s through words or objects, pictures or music, the things humans have made throughout history have the power to enrich our lives, awaken our senses and ignite our passions. We want to open the door and welcome everyone in to the wonders of culture and the arts. That’s why we’ve created The Culture Collective.
